Vacation/Sick Time

For Full-Time Staff

Vacation time is calculated based on an eligible employee’s length of service (see chart below) beginning with a maximum of 96 hours per year up to 160 hours per year. There is a six month waiting period after hire during which vacation time may not be used.

Sick time accrues for eligible employees at a rate of 8 hours per month to a maximum of 960 hours per month.

Personal time is added to eligible employees’ balances on June 1 (or after the six month waiting period).  Eligible employees receive 16 hours per fiscal year and these hours much be used or they are lost when the next June 1 rolls around.
