Welcome to Academic Advising! As an integral part of the Robert and Mary Cox Compass Center, we provide a variety of resources to students and faculty. Advising offers a personal and professional experience to enrich and shape your future. It’s the foundation of Drury Fusion.

Advisors can:

  • Assist you in choosing credentials (major/minor/certificate) that reflect personal goals, values, and interests.
  • Help you choose appropriate courses during registration.
  • Guide you through creating a graduation plan and understanding graduation requirements.
  • Help you add, drop, and withdraw from courses, if needed.
  • Clarify university policies, procedures, and deadlines.
  • Instruct you on using online resources such as MyDrury and Canvas.
  • Provide referrals to other helpful Drury resources.
  • Ease your transition to Drury and navigate issues that impact your academic performance.

Schedule an Appointment on Handshake

  1. Login at drury.joinhandshake.com (or login using the app on your device)
  2. Website: Select the Career Center link at the upper right corner of the screen
    App: Select the Account tab, then the Career Center link
  3. Select the Appointments link, then the Schedule a New Appointment button
  4. Choose the Academic Advising category, and then select an appointment type
  5. Choose an appointment date, time, & medium (how you’ll meet with a staff member)
  6. Tell us how we can help—the more we know, the better we can help!
  7. Select Request to submit. You’re done!

Prepare for Your Advising Appointment

  • Complete the Advising Appointment Prep and bring it to your appointment.
  • Arrive on time for your appointment. If something happens and you can’t make it, please let us know.

Registration
