Faculty Resources

Welcome to Academic Advising! Advising is an essential component in helping our students succeed professionally and personally at Drury. The Office of Academic Advising is here to assist not only students but faculty advisors and staff with our continued efforts in providing an excellent advising program. Contact us individually, or collectively at or (417) 873-3010 for the quickest response, any time we can help.

Faculty can also access the DU Faculty Advising Hub through Moodle. This is a resource library to help faculty and staff sharpen their advising skills. Developed by Drs. Lori Slater, Jennie Silva Brown, Jennifer Joslin, and the 2019-2020 Faculty Advising Fellows, this is expanded each semester to help meet the ongoing needs of Drury faculty advisors. It contains information on:

  • General advising skills and approaches at Drury
  • Resources for referrals
  • Advising specific student populations, such as first-generation students, student athletes, etc.
  • National organizations related to faculty advising
  • The Faculty Advising Fellow Program

Contact Dr. Jennifer Joslin, Director of the Cox Compass Center, to access the site, suggest specific topics, or contribute material.
