Prior to joining Drury University as an adjunct instructor for the Breech School, Eli has built a career in nonprofit executive leadership. He currently serves as Chief Strategy Officer at a large nonprofit in Southwest Missouri, where he leads strategic planning, organizational culture, board development, government relations, fund development, and leadership development for an agency serving a seven-county region.
Eli is deeply involved in his community and was most recently elected to the Joplin City Council, where he enjoys serving the community he calls home. A self-described “pracademic,” he enjoys bridging theory and practice, drawing on his real-world leadership experience to bring a practical, applied perspective to the graduate courses he teaches in leadership, strategy, and other specialized areas at multiple institutions. He enjoys adjuncting and the opportunity it gives him to learn from his students as much as they learn from him, which pushes him to stay current in his field and connected to the classroom alongside his professional work.
Drury University adjunct member since 2025
