David Hammons is a Drury Alum with an MBA in Marketing from Missouri State University. Prior to joining academia, he worked at his family’s Black Walnut business buying and selling black walnuts across the world. Since then, he has spent the last 11 years teaching classes in Marketing and Supply Chain Management. His research has been focused on the most recent trade war, and he earned an MA in History studying trade between the US and China. He is an avid world traveler, both as a student and leader of various study abroad programs, and has been to over 30 countries. He is a published author, won a national award for a new product he helped bring to market, and helped develop a new recipe for a top-selling beer. He has spent most of his life in Springfield, MO with his also travel-loving wife and their three young children.
