About the Organization

The Physician Assistant/Associate Student Society at Drury University is an organization which is established to promote the field and discipline of the Physician Assistant profession. The society is made up of members and is led by elected officers. Members are graduate students in the Drury University PA Program (DUPAP). The officers will be a president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer. The purpose of the student society shall be to serve as the official organization for the Drury University PA Program (DUPAP) students PA students, to promote:

  1. academic achievement and clinical excellence;
  2. the DUPAP; and,
  3. the PA as an integral member of the healthcare delivery team.

Meetings
Meets on a monthly basis on Tuesdays in the TSC.

How to Join
ARTICLE I. Membership

Section 1. All physician assistant students enrolled in the DUPAP shall be eligible for membership in the student society.

Section 2. Active members shall be defined as full-time students in good standing, paying dues if applicable, and retaining voting privileges. Inactive members shall be defined as students who have left the program in good standing, show continued interest in the student society, but are ineligible to vote.

Section 3. Students leaving the program for any reason may apply to the society’s board to retain membership in the student society for the remainder of the current academic year. These individuals shall be designated as inactive members.

ARTICLE II. Dues and Fees

Student fees are collected in the form of dues. The amount and method collected will be determined by the officers before the beginning of each year
