Panthers First

About the Organization
Panther’s First is a student-led organization oriented towards building a support community for underclassmen First-Generation Students. Panther’s First strives to promote academic excellence amongst first-generation students and to empower students to establish themselves within the greater Drury community and campus environment. First-generation freshmen get paired with a corresponding upperclassmen mentor to aid in their college experience. Our funding comes from student activity fees allocated to SUB by the Student Government Association.

Meetings
Panther’s First meets monthly for educational and fun events on and off-campus.

Events
Panther’s First hosts events to students within the organization for free throughout the entire school year. Fall events are geared towards freshmen, and spring events are geared towards recruiting new mentors. Panther’s firsts has planned events like student involvement, student success on and off campus, holiday themed events, and many more. Events change throughout the semesters, any suggestions are welcomed.
