Law Enforcement Academy Job Fair and Hiring Combine

WHERE: Findley Student Center, Drury University in Springfield, Missouri
WHEN: March 19, 2022
COST: $50 for a table space

Agencies recruiting at the job fair will have an opportunity to meet with individuals from across Missouri including:

  • Law enforcement academy students
  • College students in southwest Missouri pursing (or completed) a degree with a criminal justice or related major
  • Individuals with a current POST license desiring a change

Attendees will be given the opportunity to take the standardized Missouri Police Chiefs written test and/or a physical agility test the morning of the job fair. Testing will be monitored by Drury University Law Enforcement Academy personnel.

Physical agility testing will include:

  • stair climb
  • 4- ٚ foot fence jump x2
  • 6- ٚ foot fence climb
  • body drag, weighted sled push and duck under obstacle for a total of 250 yards
  • timed 1.5-mile run
  • push-ups in one minute
  • sit-ups in one minute

Agencies will have access to test results prior to meeting with attendees starting at noon.

Agencies in attendance will include:

  • U.S. Secret Service
  • Federal Bureau of Investigation
  • U.S. Marshalls Service
  • Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Kansas

Police departments from:

  • Little Rock
  • Memphis
  • Tulsa
  • St. Louis
  • Dallas
  • Paducah, Kentucky
  • Overland Park, Kansas
  • Plus, other large and small agencies throughout Missouri, Kansas and Arkansas.

Learn more about creating an account with Handshake

Follow these steps to get started:

  1. If you received an invite from Drury University Career Planning & Development, follow the link to begin the account creation process.
  2. If you’re signing up without an invite, visit Handshake’s new registration page.
  3. Select the Employer account type from the options presented.
  4. Complete the information requested and select Sign Up.

After you set up your account and confirm your email address, you will be prompted either to join your existing company profile (if you already use Handshake with other Universities) or to create a new company profile.

If your Company already has an Account/”Pending Approval to Join Company”: All new Employer Users need to be approved by existing staff members in order to join a company profile on Handshake. Any existing staff members already connected to the company profile will be notified that a new user has requested access.

Once CP&D staff has approved your profile you will be able to post jobs, request on-campus interviews, register for fairs, etc.
