As the birthplace of Judaism, Christianity and Islam, the Middle East occupies a central place in the spiritual and historical development of human civilizations.

The persistence of conflict and violence in the region makes an understanding of the Middle East essential for a global citizen. A Middle East studies minor prepares students for a range of careers including public service, international business, law and nonprofit work.
