The five-week emergency medicine supervised clinical practice experience is designed to give students the opportunity to triage, evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients across the lifespan in an emergency medicine setting. Students will have the opportunity to practice prioritizing/triaging patient encounters, perform problem-focused examinations, perform procedures required for stabilization and treatment, and implement care management plans for common medical and behavioral health conditions seen in the emergency department.
