ARCH 256: Design Theory and Methodology


3 credit hours

Prerequisite: ARCH 251, ARCH 252.
An introduction to the range of theoretical issues and methodologies through which architecture and urbanism have been and can be conceptualized, designed, produced, explained and assessed. Emphasis is placed on the development of students’ abilities to understand, analyze, discuss, and write about architectural issues in a clear and rigorous way. Offered fall semester.
