Dr. Laresa (Reecie) Dern comes to us from the University of Nevada, Reno where she recently completed her doctoral research which was followed by an anatomy graduate teaching fellowship at High Point University. She is a biological anthropologist and trained anatomist whose research focuses on understanding human dental variation. She has a B.A. in anthropology from the University of Chicago, an M.A. in anthropology from Colorado State University, and a Ph.D. in anthropology from the University of Nevada, Reno.
