Parker Payne

Parker Payne, from Springfield, Missouri, is a sought-after collaborative pianist across the
region. He is the pianist for the Missouri State University (MSU) Chorale Studies Program and
has performed all across the country with the MSU Chorale, including internationally to Iceland,
Norway, Denmark, Sweden, China, Spain, and South Africa. He also has accompanied many
choral festivals around the region, including the MSU Invitational Honor Choir and the Missouri
Choral Directors Association All-State Festival Choir. Parker was recently selected as part of the
GRAMMYs Recording Academy member class. He is a featured pianist on three commercially
released albums by the MSU Chorale, including On My Way and Easter, 1906, all produced by
the GRAMMY award-winning production company, Soundmirror. Parker is also a music director
and pit musician, having played over 40 productions in theaters around the Springfield area.
Some music direction credits include Kinky Boots, Hello Dolly!, The Last Five Years (Springfield
Little Theatre), and the role of associate music director/associate conductor for Catch Me If You
Can (Tent Theatre). He was also a keyboard sub for the national tour of Wicked at Juanita K.
Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts.
