SPRINGFIELD, Mo., February 14, 2024 – As Drury University continues to celebrate its 150th anniversary, the O’Reilly and Wooten families have generously stepped up, providing 1.5 million dollars of matching funds for the Fortify the Future Campaign to establish the O’Reilly – Wooten 150th Anniversary Challenge. The challenge runs from now until May 31, 2024, and all donations designated to the Drury Student Success Fund will be matched dollar-for-dollar.

“The O’Reilly and Wooten families are happy to offer this 150th anniversary year challenge as a way to thank Drury for all it has done for us and to celebrate its bright future that lies ahead,” said Rosalie O’Reilly Wooten. “We hope many friends and graduates of the university will join us in the celebration and step up to help meet the challenge!”

Donors have the opportunity to designate their gifts to one or more of these targeted areas within the Student Success Fund.

  • Scholarships and Financial Aid
  • Student Services
  • Faculty and Academic Programs
  • Facilities
  • Area of Greatest Need

“Drury is immensely thankful for the unwavering support of the O’Reilly and Wooten families,” said Drury University President John Beuerlein. “The O’Reilly and Wooten families exemplify the powerful advantage that sets our graduates up for exceptional outcomes, which is the hallmark of a Drury education. Now, we invite our university community, friends and alumni to join us. Together, we will meet this challenge and make a lasting difference in the lives of our students for generations to come.”

Everyone is encouraged to participate in the O’Reilly – Wooten 150th Anniversary Challenge, and special donor recognition opportunities are available during Drury’s sesquicentennial year. More information is available at www.drury.edu/150match.
