Portrait of Jasmine Bailey.SPRINGFIELD, Mo., November 18, 2021 — Drury University is pleased to announce Jasmine Bailey as the new director of university communications and media relations. Bailey will assume leadership of public and media relations functions for the university. She replaces Mike Brothers, who held this role until August 2021. Her first day at the university was Nov. 16.

Bailey joins Drury from the City of Springfield’s Department of Public Information and Civic Engagement, after serving as the public affairs officer for the Springfield Police Department since 2018. Prior to her role at SPD, Bailey worked as a journalist at KSNF-TV in Joplin, Missouri, and at Newsy.com. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Missouri – Columbia.
