Andrei Tcacenco, Ph.D.

Visiting Assistant Professor of History

Andrei joins us from St. Olaf College where he has taught courses on Russian languages, Russian and Soviet Film, and the History of Modern Europe. He has also taught courses in European, Asian and American Indian History. His research interest is in limits of state power and fluidity and instability of Soviet identities in various republics outside of Russia. He has a B.A. in history and Slavic literatures and languages from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a Ph.D. in history from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
