Students can request an excused absence (one day per semester) by submitting this form to the Program Director no later than 24 hours before being absent, tardy, or leaving early. Not all requests will be granted. Unapproved absence, tardiness, or early departure will be considered an unexcused absence.
Students with an excused absence should meet with the Course Director about make-up work BEFORE the scheduled absence. It is the student’s responsibility to initiate this meeting and to complete all work. There is no guarantee that all missed experiences can be completed. Some activities are too complex, time intensive, or costly to be repeated. Tests, labs, and academic experiences missed due to unexcused absence cannot be made up.
