CISQ 352: Fundamentals of Cybersecurity


3 credit hours

Prerequisite: Cyberrisk Management Majors and Minors CISQ 263 and CSCI 251; all other majors/minorsCISQ 263 and CSCI 152.
This course provides an overview of security challenges and strategies of countermeasure in the information systems environment. Topics include definition of terms, concepts, elements, and goals incorporating industry standards and practices with a focus on availability, vulnerability, integrity, and confidentiality aspects of information systems. The course will also take a “hands on” approach to teaching about operating systems, networking, and some of the tools of the trade used in the field of Information Security.
