He graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington as an excellence award graduate and high honours student in a Bachelor of Science in Architecture.
Direct experimentation and unstructured questioning are a part of how Xavierforms his designs. His high level of academic work has led to several Editor’s Choice Awards for his innovative plans concerning stadium design, stacked learning facilities, and infrastructure design. In addition to his work, Xavier has also contributed to GSAPP faculty publications and done work as an undergraduate researcher, which has contributed to structural studies.
In his capacity as a teacher, Xavier taught in UTA’s College of Architecture, Planning, and Public Affairs as an Adjunct Professor, where he developed his own unique design studio based on material exploration, spatial theory, and recycled material model making with heavy emphasis on process-based learning. Xavierpreviously exerted his skills in teaching and research assistant capacity for courses in interior design communication and architectural graphic representation.
Originally from Ecuador, Xavier began to study medicine and civil engineering to help his academic course. Because of his mixed academic background, Xavier is especially interested in architectural pedagogy, circular economies and critical urbanism.
