BADM 207: Study Abroad Service Learning (0 credits)

Prerequisite: Admission to Breech School of Business and approved application. Study Abroad Office must be notified and all policies must be followed including but not limited to insurance requirements. This course meets the Breech study abroad requirement. Study abroad trips that fill in the business/leadership category must have stay of at least 7 days. This program would not necessarily require formal enrollment in a University; it would, however, require affiliation with a formal agency/organization or some form of University sponsorship. Students may not complete this program on an individual basis. In this type of study abroad program, students will focus on an intensive immersive experience and will be interacting almost exclusively with a variety of host country residents while engaged in a community service project. Application and prior approval is required. Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory grading.

Program Dates: June 6 – 20, 2027

Estimated Program fee: $6,484
Includes: group tours, entrance fees, double-occupancy accommodations, activity fees, health insurance, breakfasts, 2 group meals, administration fees and faculty expenses.

Estimated Tuition and Fees (0 credit hrs.): $0

Estimated Personal Expenses: $1200
Includes: non-program meals & incidentals, local transport, souvenirs, entertainment, passport fees (if necessary), etc.

Program Fee Only Payment Deadlines:

  • December 1, 2026: a non-refundable/non-transferable deposit of $2000 must be paid to Drury University by this date.
  • January 18, 2027: a non-refundable/non-transferable payment of $2000 is due.
  • February 18, 2027: a non-refundable/non-transferable final payment of $2,484 is due.

Pay by credit card online using the link on the Drury Study-Abroad website describing the Dublin summer 2027 trip. A 2.85% fee will be added to credit card payments.

For check payments: make check out to Drury University (please add “Dublin, Summer 2027 on memo line) – and pay in the Business office in Burnham 100.

Enrollment in the program is limited and is based on good academic standing with the Dean of Students and the Provost’s office.
