About Lydy Suites

Lydy Suites was built in 1966 and houses approximately 152 residents in traditional suite-style arrangement: Two students per room, four students per suite, who share a bathroom. Lydy Suites is the only building with a community kitchen.

Perks of Living in Lydy Suites:

  • HVAC can produce heat or air-conditioning at any time!
  • There are two additional closets in the bathroom
  • Lydy Suites has a pool table & Ping-Pong table.

Amenities

  • Laundry
    • The laundry cost has already been included in the semester housing fees, so no coins are needed. On-campus laundry facilities are only for use by residential students. There are two washers and two dryers on each floor of Lydy Suites.
  • Mail

    • Mail is delivered to mailboxes in your individual hall Monday through Friday by the Mailroom, Drury’s shipping center. If someone mails you a package, you will receive a notice via email. If you receive a notice, you can get your package at the Mail Room located in the Drury Bookstore from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. M-F. You will receive your mailbox combination from the Residential Life staff on Move-In Day.

  • Recycling

    • All students may use the recycling center located at 927 N. Franklin Ave.  The recycling center accepts cardboard, tin, aluminum, plastic, newspaper and glass.

      Residence halls:  Inside each building, there are blue bins for aluminum and paper.

  • Trash
    • Dumpsters are located in the Sunderland/Wallace parking lot (Lot C) and in the Smith lot (B).
