Drury TRIO

TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) is a federally funded program committed to promoting academic achievement among college students who encounter barriers to success in higher education. The program is designed to improve overall student retention, increase graduation rates, and facilitate successful transfer to post-baccalaureate programs. Through targeted academic support and personalized guidance, TRIO SSS ensures that participants have a comprehensive support system throughout their educational journey.

SERVICES

  • Customized academic tutoring across disciplines such as mathematics, science, and writing, tailored to individual learning needs
  • Academic advising and enrollment guidance, supporting students in course selection, degree planning, and institutional navigation
  • Career-related support such as resume building assistance, mock interviews, career guidance, counseling, and workshops on professional development
  • Provide guidance and support to students throughout the application process for graduate school and professional programs
  • Exposure to cultural events and activities in the community to foster a proactive mindset

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible for TRIO Student Support Services (SSS), a student must:

  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Be enrolled or admitted for enrollment
  • Full- or part-time
  • Demonstrate a need for academic support to successfully pursue postsecondary education
  • Meet at least ONE of the following criteria:
    • Low-income (based on federal guidelines)
    • First-generation college student (neither parent has a bachelor’s degree)
    • Individual with a documented disability
