Fallscape

Fallscape programs are offered for students in Pre-K through 6th grade. No IQ scores are required for participation.


In coordination with Drury Pre-College Programs and The Drury School of Education, the Saturday Enrichment Program – Fallscape seeks to offer gifted and/or high ability students a rich and rewarding learning experience. Modeling best practices in curriculum and instruction, the Pre-College staff works as a community to maximize potential in each student and foster a passion for lifelong learning.

Fallscape will be Saturday, October 7, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. in Lay Hall on the Drury campus. The Saturday program will serve students in grades Pre-K through 6th. Lunch is included in the cost of the class. Depending on success and interest, we hope to serve more grades in the future. Fallscape Class Description

Join Us for a Spooktacular Time at Fallscape
 
We have spooky fun for all our Fallscapers from pre-K to 6th grade. Did you know Jack-o-Lanterns were originally carved from turnips? Or that fall holiday traditions date back over 2,000 years? You will learn some of the more obscure facts about the fall holidays, while also experiencing Spooky Science, hearing Tales of Tricks or Treats, and creating Creepy Crafts.

Tuition & Online Payment

Fallscape is $75 and includes class and lunch.

No IQ score is needed.

Scholarships

Scholarships

A limited number of financial need scholarships are available. If you would like to be considered for a scholarship, you must enclose the following:

  1. A letter explaining any extenuating circumstances pertinent to existing financial status, including what efforts have been made to obtain money locally;
  2. A $10 registration fee (refundable if no scholarship is awarded) is required to insure that registration for classes can be completed; AND
  3. A letter from the student outlining why he/she wants to attend the program.

Scholarships are awarded solely on the basis of financial need. We encourage parents to contact local businesses, employers, schools, and civic organizations to help fund scholarships.

Please Note:

  • Your application will not be considered for enrollment until the office has received your tuition check, money order, or scholarship application information and deposit. No exceptions will be made.
  • APPLY EARLY! Many courses fill quickly.
  • Checks or money orders will not be cashed until the student has been accepted.
  • If your child has a specific physical or medical need or condition, please attach a separate letter to the director so that needed accommodations can be made.
  • If a student is operating with an IEP, a copy of the IEP should be attached.
