Courses offered:

EDUC 361: Collaborative Classroom Environments

3 credit hours

Prerequisite: EDUC 205, EDUC 207, EDUC 302, formal admission to teacher education program
This course is designed to maintain positive classroom environments by acquainting students with concepts and techniques of behavioral interventions; practical applications of behavior management techniques is emphasized. Students will learn how to design learning environments that are inclusive for all students.

FUSE 370: International Immersion Capstone

3 credit hours

Prerequisites: FUSE 320, FUSE 350, GREE 101; or FUSE 320, FUSE 350, FREN 101 or SOCI 360, FUSE 320, FUSE 350; or, PHIL 316, HIST 205, ENGL 212; or HIST 273, PLSC 312, RELG 202; or HIST 223, FREN 102, FREN 201

This course will allow students to engage their study-abroad experience and coursework to respond to focused issues relevant to the study-abroad location and culture. Students will devise project-based responses expressed through written and/or creative projects.

Stranmillis Course: Ireland Culture

2.5 credit hours

Program Dates: May 24 – June 14, 2025

Estimated Program fee: $4,940

Includes: Stranmillis tuition, bus pass, rail pass, accommodation in twin/triple room, meal estimates, museum entrance fees, activity fees, guided tours, health insurance, administration fees and faculty expenses.

Estimated Tuition and Fees (3 credit hrs.): $2,110

Estimated Personal Expenses: $2,900

Includes: airfare ($1500), non-program meals, additional transportation, souvenirs, gifts, entertainment, passport fees, etc. (around $50/day).

Note: Student Visa required for working in Belfast schools (not required for school visits).

Program Fee Only Payment Deadlines:

October 15, 2024: a non-refundable/non-transferable deposit of $2,000 must be paid to Drury University by this date.

November 30, 2024: a non-refundable/non-transferable payment of $1,470 is due.

January 30, 2025: a non-refundable/non-transferable final payment of $1,470 is due.

For check payments: check made out to Drury University (please add “N. Ireland, Summer 2025” on memo line) and pay in the Business office in Burnham 100.

Enrollment in the program is limited and is based on good academic standing with the Dean of Students and the Provost’s office.
