Overview of historical, qualitative, and quantitative research approaches commonly used in the field of music therapy. Students will explore various research designs, learning how to apply appropriate methodologies to assess the effectiveness and outcomes of music therapy interventions. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the theoretical frameworks behind research in music therapy, developing research questions, and analyzing data in both qualitative (e.g., case studies, interviews, content analysis) and quantitative (e.g., surveys, statistical analysis, experimental designs) approaches.
