Prerequisite: NPFT 201, NPFT 301.
This upper-level course is designed for those students with an interest in fund development in the nonprofit sector. It will build on fund development basics in NPFT 301, and delve into donor motivation and behavior, how to identify and cultivate donors, and ongoing donor stewardship. This is a very important role for the nonprofit sector, and the field has had a shortage of trained and knowledgeable development professionals. It will also cover generational difference in donors, and the most effective ways for outreach in each.
