This course develops an understanding of fundamental data concepts, types, and sources, and fosters skill in interpreting data critically. The course addresses data quality, awareness of biases, and risks in decision making contexts. Emphasis on building confidence in interpreting data concepts and learning strategies for fostering a data-driven culture so that teams and organizations rely more on data and less on intuition. Ethical and legal implications of data collection, protection, and use will also be explored.
