PAS 652: Biostatistics and Epidemiology


1 credit hour

This course will review the basic concepts of biostatistics and epidemiology and their application for the analysis and evaluation of medical research literature. Students will review the design of clinical studies and the use of statistical methods to assess the evidence of the study presented. Students will utilize medical research literature to form prudent, patient-centered evidence-based clinical and shared decision-making with their patients that is based on the patient’s values and individual medical decisions.
