Prerequisite: Completion of the didactic year of the Drury University Physician Assistant Program.
The five-week behavioral and mental health supervised clinical practice experience is designed to give students the opportunity to evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with psychiatric concerns in outpatient clinical settings. Students will perform psychiatric interviews, develop working diagnoses, and implement care management plans pertaining to patients’ behavioral and mental health care. Students are expected to spend a minimum of 36 hours per week providing patient care at the clinical rotation site.
