The Robert D. Johnson Experiential Learning Grants are provided to support for-credit internships, research, or other hands-on learning experiences.

Criteria:

  1. Experiential learning grants may include, funding for living expenses, fees and tuition associated with internships, research, or other expenses associated with hands-on learning experiences.
  2. Preference will be given to students pursuing a major, minor or certificate that is connected to economics, marketing or a related discipline (including, but not limited to, finance, communication, graphic design, management, psychology, accounting, writing, big data analytics, web communication, business, and entrepreneurship.)
  3. Students awarded the experiential learning grant will present their project at a designated campus forum.

Project proposal requirements:

  1. Project goals and purpose.
  2. Project timeline.
  3. Experience and preparation to achieve project goals and purpose.
  4. Plan for monitoring project progress, method of communicating results, and plan for assessing project goals.
  5. Explanation of how this proposal fuses life and profession.
  6. Discussion of the original or extraordinary aspects of this proposal.

Note: Due to internship notification deadlines, there will be a second application date of April 20 for the Robert D. Johnson Experiential Learning Grant.
