Fall 2013 Visiting Professor of Practice
Italian architect and designer Filippo Caprioglio From Venice [Italy] will be this Fall 2013 the first HSA Visiting Professor of Practice.
2012-13 HSA Lecture Series on "Social Engagement"
The series will be concluded with a lecture by Emily Pilloton, of Project H Design and author of Design Revolution, on April 24th (not April 22nd as previously announced.)
New Faculty - Yong Huang, RA, from New York Joins the HSA
Yong Huang worked on the “Bird’s Nest� stadium for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing for Herzog & de Meuron. He will be a Visiting Professor this Summer at Pohang University of Science & Technology in South Korea.
Joseph [Ryan] Osborne, BArch, MFA [Furniture Design], has joined the HSA as the new Fabrication Workshop Supervisor. Ryan will lead the HSA efforts on Digital Fabrication.
Director Maurizio Sabini Toured & Lectured in China
Director Sabini lectured at the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou and held talks for collaboration opportunities between the HSA and various private and public institutions across the Shanghai region.
Internship Opportunities in China
The Suzhou Industrial Park Research & Design Institute, a large firm based in Suzhou, offered three internships to a junior and two graduates of the HSA: Zehua Jia, Cristina Bustamante and Lauren Schuyler.
Art of Space Returns at the ideaXfactory
Art of Space, a Drury University community engaging initiative led by HSA faculty Gerard Nadeau, returned downtown (collaboration with MSU) with a fabricated installation at the ideaXfactory on Boonville.
