Your Impact

Donors are the heart of our momentum. Your impact pushes the ball forward. It carries the weight for our students and propels the university toward greatness. As that momentum builds, it amplifies, it becomes considerable and it takes on impetus. Your support means a brighter future for our students, for our university, and for the world.

YOUR IMPACT
FOR OUR STUDENTS

At Drury, we are passionate about student success and steadfast in the belief that a Drury education should always be accessible to deserving students. Through the Student Success Fund (ADEF), we can provide scholarships and financial aid, helping reduce the stress of funding a college education. The fund will also help reinforce Drury’s academic offerings by expanding educational opportunities and supporting our faculty.

Support for the endowment takes these efforts one step further, helping attract exceptional educators who enrich the learning experience, providing students with diverse expertise and mentorship in a dynamic environment.

YOUR IMPACT
FOR OUR UNIVERSITY

Drury pioneered a groundbreaking academic experience that is defining and universal for every Drury student – Drury Fusion. This academic program positions and codifies Drury’s storied academic experience in a crowded market and is responsive to students’ needs and demands in this contemporary era.

Drury will continue to heed that call as a standout institution. We can do that by investing in our students, programs, and the places that are at the heart of the Drury experience. The historic halls of our 90-acre campus are an architectural expression of the wholistic educational experience at Drury and they must be maintained to further carry out our mission.

UNRESTRICTED GIFTS

These gifts are a flexible and powerful form of support because they allow the university to use them as it sees fit, where current (and often time-sensitive) needs are greatest.

JAMES & PATRICIA SPANGLER CONCERT HALL

James and Patricia Spangler ’61/’61 recently donated $1 million for renovations that will have a significant impact on recruitment, retention, and our connection to the Springfield community.

YOUR IMPACT
FOR OUR WORLD

Drury has continually evolved and innovated to ensure students are prepared to meet the challenges of their times. Our mission has remained constant. We are passionate about student success. Our educational program is not ordinary, it is extraordinary. Through our distinctive, demanding, but supportive academic program, we educate our students to be the leaders of tomorrow.

More than ever, we need future leaders who have learned to wrestle with big ideas, find common ground, build consensus, and lead with empathy. We educate our students to have this kind of depth. Drury is about community, connection, and engagement. That is why Drury is uniquely positioned for this moment and to make a lasting impact.

Why do you give to Drury?

“The key to ensuring positive outcomes in our world is leadership. Drury’s unique approach to education rooted in the liberal arts doesn’t just teach content, but also how to apply critical thinking, ethical decision making, and respectful dialogue at every level of leadership.

— Kent Sunderland, The Sunderland Foundation, chairman
