PAS 725: Women’s Health Supervised Clinical Practice Experience


4 credit hours

Prerequisite: Completion of the didactic year of the Drury University Physician Assistant Program.

The five-week women’s health supervised clinical practice experience is designed to give students the opportunity to evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with gynecologic disorders as well as provide preventive women’s health services and obstetric care. Obstetric care will include routine prenatal and postpartum care and may include labor and delivery. Students are expected to spend a minimum of 36-hours per week providing patient care at the clinical rotation site.
