2 credit hours
A laboratory course that introduces the student to common laboratory equipment and techniques. Topics and techniques include basic stoichiometry, unit manipulation, general synthesis, oxidation/reduction reactions, and molecular spectroscopy. Students will be expected to keep concise lab notes and will practice scientific reading/writing.
