The O’Reilly-Wooten 150th Anniversary Challenge: The Largest Matching Donation in Drury History

In celebrating Drury’s 150th anniversary, The O’Reilly and Wooten families have generously pledged to contribute $1.5 million in matching funds for the O’Reilly-Wooten 150th Anniversary Challenge. Running until May 31, 2024, the challenge will match all donations designated for the Drury Student Success Fund, doubling their impact.

Student Success Fund

You can contribute directly to support student success through a gift to the Student Success Fund. You have the opportunity to designate your gift to one or more of these targeted areas within the Student Success Fund.

  • Scholarships and Financial Aid: may be designated for all deserving students or for students from a specific school or college.
  • Student Services: enhance the student experience through funding student programming, counseling services, athletic and other co-curricular support programs.
  • Faculty and Academic Programs: enrich opportunities for teaching and learning.
  • Facilities: provide the spaces where students can have the best possible educational experience in an environment that is safe, comfortable, and equipped with the latest technology.
  • Area of Greatest Need: directs your gift to the strategic priorities that will have the greatest impact on student success.

Sesquicentennial Donor Recognition Opportunities

Drury College opened its doors to students on September 25, 1873 as a result of the outstanding leadership, dedication and generous financial support of our founders and donors such as James and Charles Harwood, Nathan Morrison, and Samuel and Angeline Drury. Since that time, gifts have helped to sustain the University during difficult times, provided scholarship support to deserving students, funded the construction of the Drury campus and enhanced the student experience for generations of Drury students and alumni.

As we celebrate Drury’s 150th anniversary we will commemorate the occasion with special recognition opportunities for donors who contribute to the University during our 150th anniversary year (from June 1, 2023 – May 31, 2024). Recognition levels will be based on the number 150. Donors will receive a sesquicentennial commemorative gift at the following levels:
