Sip & Savor Springfield serves up treats to benefit local nonprofits

SPRINGFIELD, Mo., April 12, 2017 — Drury University’s Sigma Pi chapter is proud to present the return of Sip & Savor Springfield, a charity dessert and beverage sampling fundraiser set for Thurs., April 19. The event will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Veridian Events Center in Downtown Springfield.

Sip & Savor Springfield will serve up the opportunity for some of the finest culinary minds in the Ozarks to combine their craft with raising much-needed funds to support two area nonprofits, all while providing valuable real-world experience for college students planning the event.

All proceeds benefit Harmony House, one of the state’s largest shelters and resource centers for domestic violence victims and their families, and The Kitchen, Inc.’s Rare Breed Youth Services, a resource center for at-risk and homeless youth. Over the past two years, Sip & Savor proceeds have totaled more than $13,000.

Attendees will be able to sample tasty treats and beverages from over 15 vendors including Blue Bell Creameries, Casey’s General Store, Chinese Chef, Chick-Fil-A, Crave Cookie Dough, El Charro, Eurasia Coffee & Tea, Heart of America Beverage, Insomnia Cookies, Mother’s Brewing Company, Panera Bread Bakery-Cafe, Tea Bar & Bites, and more. More vendors will be announced in the coming days at

Sip & Savor is an all-ages, kid-friendly event. General admission tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. VIP tickets are $30, student tickets are $10, and children eight and under enter for free. Tickets can be purchased in advance at sipsavorspringfield.comor at the door on the day of the event.
