Drury’s online emergency management degree ranked among best in nation

SPRINGFIELD, Mo., May 29, 2018 — Just a few years after Drury introduced its emergency management program, the program, which includes online bachelor’s and associate’s degrees, has been recognized for excellence by two national websites.

Best Colleges named Drury’s online emergency management program as the No. 21 such program in the nation, and the university’s bachelor’s degree in emergency management came in at No. 20 on Best Value Schools’ Best Homeland Security Programs 2018 rankings list.

Of the online program, Best Colleges says, “The curriculum combines disaster response theory with practical application of best practices, creating well-rounded first responders suited for administrative positions in volunteer, corporate, or governmental agencies.”

Best Value Schools also mentions the program’s strong emphasis on experiential learning.

Through professional practice, the fundamentals of emergency management are highlighted within the courses.”

Drury’s emergency management program is designed to provide a well-rounded learning experience to current and future emergency management leaders in the public, private and volunteer sectors. The curriculum blends theoretical perspectives with professional practice and emphasizes application of knowledge to real-world practical settings.

Classes toward Drury’s bachelor’s and associate’s emergency management degrees are offered entirely online in 8- and 16-week blocks. Drury offers an affordable online tuition of $308 per credit hour.
