THEN & NOW

Harwood Hall
Olin Library

The construction for Drury’s first library, Harwood Library, was completed in 1924. In 1991, it was razed to make way for the F.W. Olin Library, Drury’s current library. Recent improvements include Sunderland Lyceum, a space that promotes open dialogue.

Smith Hall
Lydy Suites

When Smith Hall opened in 1967, it answered a rising demand for women’s housing on campus. More than five decades later, a generous gift from the Richard Grant Lydy Trust made a full renovation possible. Finished in 2024 with its modern updates, the building now carries a new name: Lydy Suites.

Bay Hall

Dedicated in 1959 after Trustee Theodore Walker 1908, Walker Library was Drury’s second library and known to be the first modern building on campus. It was renamed C.
