Chocolate University

Every two years, Askinosie Chocolate and Drury University team up to host Chocolate University, a transformative experience for high school students that bring the business of chocolate to life. Students spend a week on the Drury campus to learn more about the cocoa industry and social responsibility in business, and then they travel with Askinosie Chocolate to Tanzania, where they get to know some of the farmers and communities with whom the company directly trades.

Chocolate University is a collaborative project between Askinosie Chocolate and the Edward Jones Center that engages high school students with cocoa farmers and their communities in Tanzania. Students witness socially-guided entrepreneurship in action, and they participate in outreach projects as they experience Tanzanian culture.
