Mary Andrews Martin, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor of Accounting

Dr. Mary Blair has been teaching since 2012. She began at Southern Baptist University in Bolivar, and has been at Drury since 2018. She received both her undergraduate degree and MBA from Drury, and a Ph.D. in Advanced Accounting from Northcentral University. Dr. Blair teaches Principles of Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Intermediate I, II, and III, and Advanced Accounting.

Dr. Blair researches undergraduate accounting education, tackling tough-to-answer questions, like, “How can we best teach students to prepare them for the workplace?”, “How do they best learn?”, “Is accounting education outdated?”, and “Do different styles of teaching result in different levels of learning (applied approach vs. surface approach)?”
