Kansas City Alumni Club

Welcome to the Drury Kansas City Alumni Club, a part of the Drury Alumni Association. Our goal is to bring together alumni that live and/or work in Tulsa through opportunities to make valuable connections like social gatherings, game watches, community service and professional networking events. We strive to foster a spirit of fellowship, participate in a culture of growth, and promote interaction as well as advance the mission of Drury University and the Alumni Association.

We hope you will consider participating in our alumni events or volunteering your time to further connect alumni and classmates to our alma mater in Tulsa and the surrounding communities.

Steve Fleischaker is a 1994 graduate of Drury where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration.  During his time at Drury he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order fraternity, served on the Student Senate for 3 years and played on the golf team.  Today Fleischaker serves in the position of Senior Vice President, Director of Sales and Business Development with the Bank of Blue Valley in Overland Park, Kansas.  Fleischaker has been with the Bank since February 2001 and in his current position since January 2015.  Prior to that he served as the Olathe Market President for the Bank 9 years.  Fleischaker began his banking career in 1994 in Springfield, MO working for Great Southern Bank where he served in various capacities including Assistant Vice President of Commercial Banking.  

In addition to his role at the Bank, Fleischaker is the founder and Executive Director of Natalie’s A.R.T. Foundation, a non-profit devoted to pediatric cancer. Fleischaker is heavily involved in the Kansas City Civic and Philanthropic community.  He has served on the boards of  Cancer Matters, as treasurer and Chair of the Olathe Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, is a former director of the Girl Scouts of NE Kansas and NW Missouri and a former director for KidsTLC. Fleischaker is a graduate of the Civic Council of Greater Kansas City’s Kansas City Tomorrow leadership program and was recognized by the Kansas City Business Journal as a NextGen Leader in 2014. 

Fleischaker resides in Overland Park, Kansas with his wife former Drury student Ashley (Smith) and their children Natalie (deceased), Jack (10) and Emily (10).
