Giving Societies

Drury Society

This giving society honors co-founder Samuel Drury and his wife Angeline. Samuel and Angeline's gift honoring their son gave Drury its name. Members of the Drury Society are recognized for cumulative support of $100,00 or more to the university. Members of this society are recognized on the donor wall in Burnham Hall.

Circle of Fellows

Donors who have provided support of $1 million or more are recognized through a special level, the Circle of Fellows. Circle of Fellows members are recognized on the wall hanging in Burnham Hall, and also on the stone pedestals standing outside of Bay Hall.

Drury Founder's Society

The Drury Founder's Society was established to recognize the alumni and friends of the university who have included Drury University in their will, insurance policy, retirement plan, annuity or trust in the amount of $10,000 or more. The Drury Founders' names are displayed in the upstairs foyer of Stone Chapel.

President's Society

The President's Society honors the Presidents who have served Drury University, from the first President, Dr. Nathan Morrison, to our eighteenth President, Dr. J. Timothy Cloyd. Members of this giving society make annual gift to Drury University totaling $2,500 and above between June 1 and May 31.

Harwood Society

Named in honor of Drury Founders James and Charles Harwood. James personally solicited more than $150,000 in contributions ($2.2 million in today’s economy!). Charles Harwood was a trustee for almost 60 years and provided much of the day-to-day funding that kept Drury in business. The Harwood Society recognizes annual gifts totaling $1,000 to $2,499 made between June 1 and May 31.

Scarlet and Gray Circle

The Scarlet and Gray Circle level of giving is named for Drury's colors, scarlet and gray. Scarlet symbolizes bravery and gray symbolizes sincerity. This circle represents annual gifts made between June 1 and May 31.
