Foundation and Corporate Relations

The mission of Foundation and Corporate Relations (FCR) is to secure funding from foundations, corporations, and governmental agencies whose interests correspond with Drury University’s priorities and programs. Grants secured by FCR have supported students, faculty, curriculum, facilities, and many other institutional priorities across university departments and programs.

The primary work of FCR is to seek funding for institutional priorities identified by the President, the Board of Trustees, and other university leadership. As a secondary charge, FCR supports the individual grantseeking efforts of faculty and staff. FCR can assist faculty and staff in a variety of ways, including:

  • Identifying possible sources of support for research, scholarship, and student-centered projects
  • Staying informed of new funding opportunities and sharing information about potential grants
  • Reading proposal guidelines carefully to ensure that a particular project meets all technical requirements
  • Writing and editing proposals in close consultation with the appropriate faculty or staff liaison
  • Developing budgets and drafting language for budget justifications
  • Arranging for letters of support from campus leaders, Trustees, or community members
  • Communicating with funder program officers
  • Completing final application details and submitting proposals online or by mail
