Meet the Consultants

Plan to visit The Writing Center well before your paper is due. Writing improves with careful reading and revision; ideally, this should occur throughout the writing process, not only on the afternoon or evening before an assignment must be turned in.

Meet the Consultants

Bre is a senior writing, photography, and graphic design major. Traveling and connecting with people from around the world are some of her biggest passions (she's been to over 20 countries and counting!). She's a big fan of progressive news, memes, weird art, Bigfoot, beards, hairless cats, and revolutions. Bre's pronouns are she/hers and her strengths in writing lie in MLA style, literary analyses, and creative fiction/nonfiction. 


Joseph is a second-year accounting major. His hobbies include running, weight lifting, games and cooking. Joseph is skilled in MLA style and enjoys helping international students. 


Laura is a junior English and Secondary Education major from Plano, Texas. She is a member of the women's swim team, a RA in the residence halls and a member of Sigma Tau Delta, the English honor society. Laura enjoys petting dogs and other furry animals, long walks down every aisle in Target, hiking, running, biking and anything else where she can be outside in nature! Her strengths include literary analysis and research papers.

Taylor is an English and writing major with a communications minor. She enjoys photography, literature, classic film and John Mayer’s music. She is member of Think Green, the environment and sustainability organization on campus, and Sigma Tau Delta. Taylor is skilled in MLA style, APA style, literary analyses and personal statement essays.
