Olin Library houses all of Drury University's reference & research materials, the university archives, and many other resources that aid in the academic experience. The library was built in 1992 with a grant from the F.W. Olin Foundation in New York.
First Floor
The first floor of the Olin Library features reference materials, including encyclopedias, microfilms, Ebsco host, periodicals and videos. International students may watch television programming in their native language via satellite at the monitors directly to the right of the stairs.
Second Floor
The upper level is home to the university's large collection of books. It also houses the Writing Center, which offers assistance to students with writing papers, resumes, and more. The Harwood Reading Room, study tables and chalk rooms are also located upstairs. The flags that line the library atrium represent the countries of the international students that are currently or have studied at Drury.
Basement
A computer lab, rare manuscript room and extensive slide library are all located in the basement of the library.
The Olin library subscribes to multiple databases and periodicals, has over 185,000 volumes available and is linked electronically to a network of major universities in Missouri called MOBIUS.
Library visitors may check out volumes from any member institution and they will be delivered to campus in 1-3 days, free of charge. Volumes accessible via MOBIUS and online resources boost our collection to over five million volumes. The library is open 7 days a week.
