Heifer International Global Gateway Village
Each semester, the Office of Community Outreach and Leadership Development offers an overnight immersion experience at Heifer International’s ranch in Perryville, Arkansas. The Global Gateway Village program “creates an existence in which nothing-shelter, food, water or cooking fuel – can be taken for granted." By going on this overnight trip, you can learn about sustainable solutions to global hunger, poverty and environmental degradation. This experience is Passport approved and counts towards the Leadership Drury Certificate.
The Heifer Global Gateway trip will be the weekend of April 14 and 15, 2018. Participants will leave campus at 7 a.m. on Saturday and will return by 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Funding is provided by SGA, so the student cost is only $10 and includes transportation, accommodation and most food.
