Technology Services maintains and supports the following at all Drury campuses:
- Campus WiFi and wired networks (non-residential)
- All servers and network hardware
- Telephones and the Cisco network
- Application software such as MyDrury and EX
- Computers provided to staff and faculty
- Computers in labs on campus sites
Meet the Staff
Val Serafimov, Associate Vice President of Technology Services
Val joined Technology Services in 2000 providing support and analysis for the IBM iSeries 400 midrange systems on campus as well as client support. In 2004 he implemented the MyDrury portal. He became director of the department in 2009 and played a critical role in the conversion of the Student Information System from the IBM-based Jenzabar TE to the Microsoft SQL-based Jenzabar EX. He currently oversees all operations of the department including software, hardware, project management and budget.
Teresa Castleberry, Programmer Analyst III
Teresa began programming for Drury in 1995, left to work for Jenzabar for 4 years, and returned to Drury in 2009. Her responsibilities include server and database maintenance and monitoring, job scheduling, and reporting.
Diana Serafimov, Interface and Security Software Analyst
Diana joined Technology Services in 2012. Her responsibilities include data security, business analytics and imaging as well as web support. She previously worked in the Financial Aid office as the Assistant Director of Financial Aid IT/Support providing technology support for the department.
Brandon Mattox, Systems Administrator
Brandon is responsible for managing and maintaining Drury's server infrastructure. His responsibilities also include supporting Microsoft Office 365 and Active Directory.
Jenny DeField, Network Analyst
Jenny is a Drury alumna who began working in Technology Services as a student worker in 2007 and joined the staff in 2011. She currently manages the Drury network infrastructure, including the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol and virtual private networks, as well as managing the telephone system on campus.
Jose is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and upgrading faculty, staff and lab computers at Drury. He is also involved in printer support. When he’s not working, you’ll find him watching soccer, playing video games, or spending time with his family.
Rick oversees the planning, installation and maintenance of all Windows-based computers on Drury's satellite campuses. This includes branch campus faculty, staff, and lab machines.
Adam Ellis, A/V Technician
Adam joined Technology Services in 2017. He is responsible for audio/visual support for campus events and support of classroom-based instructional technologies. Before joining Drury, Adam worked in TV/Live Sports Productions in the Southwest Missouri region covering high school, college and professional sports for companies such as Mediacom, CBS Sports, Fox Sports Midwest, ESPN and Springfield Cardinals. He was a replay operator, as well as a technical director. Adam graduated in 2013 from Ozarks Technical College with an associate degree in Electronic Media Production.
Becky Polk, Help Desk & LMS Administrator
Becky has been with Drury since 2009 as the Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator, responsible for the training, support and maintenance of the software application that delivers Drury’s courses electronically. In 2017 she was given the added responsibility of the Technology Services Help Desk, where she supervises student staff and coordinates the ticket system software.
