About the Theme Year

In a Post 9/11 world, U.S. foreign and domestic policies have generated unprecedented levels of debate and tension. The 2006-07 Convocation Theme Year focused on speakers, topics and events that explored many of the important questions that have been generated by 9/11 and its aftermath.

Convocation is a tradition that has driven the Drury University community to think critically, discuss openly, and learn unequivocally for more than 60 years. Since the beginning of the new millennium, each Convo series has maintained a particular theme and has drawn nation's leading scientists, authors, historians, sociologists, theologians and lecturers to the Drury campus.
