Political Science and History Student Gets Hands-on Experience with Summer Internship

Political Science and History major Christina Faoro recently wrapped up her internship at the Harry S. Truman Presidential Museum & Library. While interning, she scanned pictures and documents and described them for the online database. Faoro also worked on preserving collections of papers dealing with either people who worked with or knew President Truman, or Commissions that that he was in charge of. She then created finding aids, or summaries of what was in the collections, which are published on the website.

Faoro says she was also able to spend some of her time researching the Missouri President, "I also had the opportunity to research topics for the library's social media account for next year so I looked at correspondence between President Truman and Queen Elizabeth, Winston Churchill, and a few other well known individuals."
