Dr. Leinaweaver teaches courses on environmental politics (U.S. and global), international organizations / law and political violence. He is the campus advisor for Pi Sigma Alpha, the political science honor society, and the College Democrats.
Dr. Leinaweaver's research focuses primarily on the use of policy to solve environmental problems at both the domestic and international levels. While the policy rules created at each level differ dramatically in form and function, the dynamics that produce those rules share many similarities and are clearly linked. His other research interests include quantitative methods, technology issues, political economy and the use of experimental methods.
